Eagles Expect Star Wide Receiver Back at Practice Friday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had fans fretting this week when he missed Thursday's practice with an illness, but he should be fine. Head coach Nick Sirianni shared at his Friday press conference that Brown will return to practice today and should be in line to play in Sunday Night Football's showdown with the Green Bay Packers.

Brown has been in the midst of a career year for the Eagles, averaging a personal best 78.5 receiving yards per game across his 10 appearances this year. He's been a huge part of the Eagles' success this season; they've lept from 12th in scoring in 2021 to fourth this year and find themselves with an NFC-best 9-1 record.

Brown entered the league as the Tennessee Titans' 51st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He totalled 2995 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns across 43 appearances with the team, but occasional unavailability and lingering injuries kept the Titans from committing to him long-term. They traded Brown to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft, who quickly signed him to a four-year, $100 million extension. So far, the Eagles should be delighted with their investment.
