Eagles Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle

The Philadelphia Eagles, despite their recent Monday Night Football loss to the Washington Commanders, remain one of the best teams in the entire NFC, but one of their biggest problems in recent weeks may have just been solved.

Over the past 3 weeks, the Eagles have given up over 140 yards rushing in each game, much of that due to the absence of monster rookie Jordan Davis, but now, the team are officially bringing in veteran, two-time Pro Bowler Linval Joseph on a one-year deal to fill the void.

Joseph has played with the Giants, Vikings and Chargers over his illustrious 12-year career, racking up 644 tackles, 25 sacks, 6 passes deflected, 8 forced fumbles and 5 fumble recoveries in 171 games, and is the perfect addition for this Eagles team. He may not be as effective on the stat sheet as some would expect, but Joseph is a veteran presence and run stopper that the Eagles need, and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he believes that he's ready to make his Eagles debut this week, which would be a massive boost.
