Falcons Tight End Suffers Knee Injury

The Atlanta Falcons are in the middle of a closely contested showdown with the Chicago Bears, but they may have to try and secure a win without one of their most valuable players. Tight end Kyle Pitts left the game with a knee injury and has yet to return. Pitts absorbed a shoulder to his knee but was able to walk off the field under his own power. He was evaluated on the sideline before making his way to the locker room.

Pitts exited with a team-high 43 yards on three receptions. His 313 receiving yards through the first 10 games of the season ranked third on the team. His absence could loom large in what has been a high-scoring game against the Bears. The teams are tied 24-24 in the fourth quarter.

Pitts joined the Falcons as their fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He earned Pro Bowl honors in his rookie season thanks to his 68 receptions for 1026 yards.
