Ravens Tackle Limps Off Field

The Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman's bad luck continues. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley limped off the field in the second half of his team's matchup with the Carolina Panthers with a lower leg injury. A Panthers player awkwardly trapped and rolled over Stanley's ankle. Stanley collapsed in obvious pain. The Ravens declared him questionable to return, but he remained out late in the fourth quarter.

Injuries have been a persistent thorn in Stanley's side over the past few seasons. The one-time All-Pro has missed 30 regular season games since 2020, largely due to his consistently troublesome ankle. Yet another injury to the same body part is a heartbreaking development in what had once been an incredibly promising career.

Stanley initially joined the Ravens as their sixth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He started 42 games in his first three seasons before emerging as a star for the team in 2019, quarterback Lamar Jackson's first year as the full-time starter. The pair led the Ravens to a franchise record and league-best 531 points on the season.
