Former Head Coach Hints At One QB He'd Love To Team Up With If He Returns

The NFL world was rocked when Sean Payton finally left the New Orleans Saints along with Drew Brees, but in recent times, continued hints have come through that the Super Bowl winning Head Coach could return to the NFL, and on Monday Night Football's ManningCast, Payton hinted at one Quarterback he'd love to team up with if he did return.

That happens to be current Baltimore Ravens starter Lamar Jackson, who is a free agent at the end of the year, and if these two were to come together and join a team like Indianapolis, Washington or the Raiders, who have talented teams but a lack of quality Quarterback play, it would be absolutely electric.

Obviously there's been no talks between the two or anything like that, as it was just an off-hand comment by Payton talking to the Manning's, but now, the NFL is buzzing over the potential, which would be a huge get for any team that wants to take their team to the next level. Whether Payton returns with Lamar or not, it would be great to see him back in the NFL, as he was one of the NFL's most successful coaches for over a decade with New Orleans.
