Jets Receiver Not Practicing, Still Day-to-Day

The New York Jets, after a 5-2 start have had a horrific last 12 days, as they placed both Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker on season ending Injured Reserve, before getting a trade request from a promising young player and then finally losing at home to the New England Patriots, but amongst that, they also had to sit out their best receiver thus far on the 2022 season in Corey Davis.

On the year, Davis has 19 catches for 351 yards and 2 Touchdowns, and while he's been somewhat overshadowed by the breakout seasons of Hall and Garrett Wilson, he has been a fantastic performer for this team, despite the disappointing 2021 campaign. Unfortunately for Davis and the Jets, he missed the Week 8 game with the Patriots due to injury, and at this point, he is questionable for Week 9, as he will be absent from practice today and be considered day-to-day going forward.

The Jets offence struggled mightily without Hall in Week 8, and without Davis, they'll have to get rolling and protect the ball early and often against Buffalo in Week 9, and if Davis can't return for the big game, they'll need to get Elijah Moore and Garrett Wilson involved if they are to stand any chance against Buffalo.
