Jets Veteran Tackle Returns To Practice

The New York Jets past few days has been a roller coaster, culminating in the benching of starting Quarterback Zach Wilson, but the news isn't all bad for this offensive unit, as veteran tackle George Fant was officially cleared to return to practice today.

Fant was one of the Jets most important offensive lineman in 2021, when he took over the vital left tackle role for the entire season, but with Duane Brown signed to take over the left tackle role in 2022, he has been shifted back to the right. That came before an injury that's kept him out for the past 2 months, but now, Fant is back, and could certainly take that starting right tackle role back going forward.

The team is also expecting rookie Max Mitchell back at anytime, giving this offensive line some fantastic depth, as they look to continue their surprise push to the AFC playoffs in 2022, and while Fant won't change the outlook for this franchise going forward, he's certainly going to be an ideal addition to this offensive line.
