Jets Veteran Tackle Won't Return To Practice This Week

The New York Jets may be succeeding in 2022, with a 6-3 record at their bye in Week 10, but they've dealt with plenty of injuries of their own, especially to the tackle position, where they've lost Mekhi Becton, Duane Brown, George Fant and Max Mitchell for different amount of times throughout the season.

Brown has been playing very well since his return, and Becton is out for the season, but this week, the Jets were expected to get both Mitchell and Fant back, and while Head Coach Robert Saleh announced that Mitchell would return to practice, he also announced that Fant wouldn't be returning this week.

Fant stepped in as the starting left tackle a year ago when young Becton went down, but in 2022, he wasn't able to make an impact before he went down, and now, it's more likely than not that he'll take another week to recover so that he can potentially be active when the Jets take on the Chicago Bears in Week 12.
