NFL Rumors: Big Name Looking Into Purchasing The Washington Commanders

Over the past two days, the NFL news cycle has been absolutely insane, but perhaps the biggest news to come from it all is the story that Dan and Tanya Snyder, the current owners of the Washington Commanders are potentially looking into the sale of the franchise. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but according to reports, at least four parties have been connected with the purchase of the Commanders, and now, one of those names has been revealed, and it's a big one.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, billionaire Jeff Bezos is interesting in purchasing the Commanders, and has been connected with Jay-Z, a former minority owner in the Brooklyn Nets in the potential purchase. There's still a long way to go before the Snyder's officially look to sell the team, but if they do, it appears that one of the richest men in the world is going to be a player in the purchase of the franchise.

Forbes estimated that the Commanders are worth $5.6 billion, which is over $1 billion more than the Denver Broncos recently sold for, but given the net worth of Bezos is over $120 billion, he would be able to offer the best price for ownership of the franchise.
