Panthers Reinstate Quarterback

The PJ Walker show appears to be slowing down.

The Carolina Panthers have reinstated quarterback Sam Darnold from the injured reserve.
Now that he's made a full recovery from the left high-ankle sprain he suffered in the Panthers' preseason finale in late August, Darnold will join an ugly Panthers QB situation that looks even worse following Sunday's blowout by the Cincinnati Bengals.

While making his fourth consecutive start, PJ Walker threw two interceptions and completed just three of 10 pass attempts before being benched at halftime and replaced by Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield performed well in relief, however, when starting the Panthers' first five games this season, he completed just 54.9% of his throws for 6.3 yards per attempt.

It's not like Darnold is any better than Mayfield or Walker, as the QB turned in 11 poor starts for the team last season. It's an ugly situation at quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and it should be interesting to see who interim head coach Steve Wilks turns to in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons.
