Packers Top Edge Rusher Suffers Torn ACL

The Green Bay Packers' injury woes continue.

Packers linebacker Rashan Gary was diagnosed with a torn ACL after exiting Sunday's 15-9 loss to the Detroit Lions.

He will undergo an MRI later on Monday as the team looks to determine whether he's dealing with additional damage to his right knee.
Regardless, the Packers' worst fears have been confirmed, as the team's top edge rusher is now done for the season.

Given the timing of his injury and the timeline typically associated with ACL tear recoveries, Gary could very well be at risk of missing the start of the 2023 season, even if the MRI reveals no additional damage.

Gary finishes his 2022 season with 32 tackles, six sacks and one forced fumble over nine games.
