Saints Sign Veteran QB To Practice Squad

The New Orleans Saints picked up a huge win in Week 8 over the Las Vegas Raiders, dominating 24-0 in a showing which highlighted just how good they can be on both sides of the ball, and with just one game separating them and first place in the NFC South, they have a chance to make a run in the back half of the 2022 season.

This isn't a move that will change any of that, but it brings them more solid, experienced depth at the Quarterback position, as today, the Saints signed veteran QB Brett Hundley to their practice squad, which is especially important given the health issues that both Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton have been dealing with early in the year.

Hundley, the 29-year old was drafted back in 2015 and has played for Green Bay, Seattle, Arizona, Baltimore and Indianapolis, and while he may never see the field as a member of the Saints, he'll be a good veteran for the practice squad and locker room. He has accounted for 2,200 yards through the air and the ground throughout his career, with 11 Touchdown's to 13 turnovers, so no one in New Orleans should be worried about losing a starting job, but it's more than a solid depth signing.
