Steelers Place Kicker On Injured Reserve

The Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 season certainly isn't going the way that they expected, with struggles all over the team to go along with injuries, and now, they'll be missing one of their most important veterans for at least the next four weeks.

Chris Boswell hasn't appeared for the Steelers since their loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, and now, the team will officially be without him for the next four weeks, and have filled the void with Matthew Wright, who has bounced around the NFL and XFL since 2019, and will now get an extended chance to prove himself at the NFL level. In his career thus far, Wright has nailed 28 out of 32 field goal attempts, and with the Steelers looking to bounce back in 2022, they'll need him to be solid.

As for Boswell, he has been the Steelers kicker since 2015, and over that time, he's nailed 194 of a possible 222 career field goal attempts, making him one of the best kickers in the NFL over that time, and will be a huge loss for Pittsburgh.
