Titans QB Absent From Thursday Practice

The Tennessee Titans were without Quarterback Ryan Tannehill in their victory over the Houston Texans this past weekend, with rookie Malik Willis making his first start and throwing 10 passes throughout the game, and yesterday, Tannehill returned to practice in a limited capacity, a positive sign for the Titans going forward.

Today however, he was absent from practice, still dealing with the ankle injury that kept him out of the game in Week 8, and while it's unlikely that he will miss a second straight week, it's certainly not a good sign for a Titans team that is catching fire at the right time behind a reinvigorated Derrick Henry. With 3 days to go until Tennessee match up against the Kansas City Chiefs, there's a good chance Ryan will be back under centre, and if they are to take down the AFC powerhouse, they'll need to have more balance than simply handing Henry the ball.

Tannehill has never taken a step into the elite category in the NFL, but he's been a solid starter in Tennessee for years now, and if they are to make a run through the 2022 playoffs, he will have to be the QB to make that happen.
