Jets Receiver Misses 5th Straight Practice, Doubtful Sunday

The New York Jets released their Thursday injury report and wide receiver Corey Davis was listed as 'did not participate' for a fifth straight day. He is unexpected to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Davis, who was ruled out last week against the Patriots, has been battling a lingering knee injury he sustained in practice at some point ahead of Week 8. However, the wideouts injury isn't considered long term, but missing five straight practices is quite the telling sign that his knee is a ways from 100%.

The Jets may miss Davis for a second straight week, which would be a massive blow to their offense due to quarterback Zach Wilson favoring the pass-catcher quite often thus far this season. In Wilson's four starts, Davis leads the New York club with 164 yards in nine receptions.

However, if Davis is sidelined for another week, it could give disgruntled receiver Elijah Moore the touches he's been clamoring for as of late. Moore previously demanded a trade due to his lack of integration in the Jets offense this season, but was not moved at the trade deadline on Tuesday amid multiple rumors.
