3 New England Patriots Offensive Stars Declared Out for MNF

The New England Patriots offense will be stretched near the breaking point in tonight's Monday Night Football matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn, and running back Damien Harris were officially declared inactive for the crucial Week 14 showdown. Meyers played 31 snaps in the Patriots' Week 13 24-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills before suffering a concussion. Wynn has missed the previous two weeks with a foot injury sustained in a Week 11 10-3 win over the New York Jets. Harris has been out since Week 12's 33-26 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a hamstring injury.

The Patriots can hardly afford to be shorthanded in one of the most winnable games on their remaining schedule. They play the Las Vegas Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins, and Buffalo Bills over the last four weeks of the season. At 6-6, the Patriots have very little margin of error if they hope to make the playoffs.

Meyers, Harris, and Wynn have all been key pieces for the Patriots this season. Meyers' 593 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns lead the team. Harris ranks second on the team with 383 rushing yards, and his absence will likely mean an enormous workload for backfield mate Rhamondre Stevenson. Wynn has started 40 games for the Patriots at tackle since being drafted 23rd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
