Broncos Tight End May Return This Week

He has not played since Week 5.

According to Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam could be active for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Okwuegbunam has been a healthy scratch since Greg Dulcich made his debut in Week 6. Okwuegbunam was really struggling with his blocking role, which led to him falling down the depth charts behind Eric Tomlinson and Eric Saubert, while Dulcich has been playing as more of a wide receiver than a tight end.

With wide receiver Courtland Sutton doubtful for this weekend's game, the twenty-four-year-old tight end may find himself elevated to more of a receiver role against the Chiefs.

In five games this season, Okwuegbunam has seven receptions for 50 yards on 11 targets.
