Buffalo Bills Declare 2 Out for Week 16

The Buffalo Bills will be without a pair of big bodies in the trenches for Week 16. The team declared defensive end Boogie Basham and center Mitch Morse out for Saturday's matchup with the Chicago Bears.

Basham suffered a calf injury, and Morse sustained a concussion in the Bills' Week 15 32-29 win over the Miami Dolphins. Morse earned the first Pro Bowl of his career for his play over 12 games this season, and Basham has tallied 2.5 sacks across 14 appearances this year while playing in the Bills' deep defensive line rotation.

Though losing a Pro Bowler never helps, the Bills should be fine this week as they attempt to hold onto the top seed in the AFC: they're 8-point favorites over the reeling Chicago Bears. Despite the thrilling running ability of quarterback Justin Fields (76.9 rushing yards per game), the Bears are 3-11 and sport the worst record in the NFC. They'll likely struggle to keep up with the Bills'  passing attack; the Bears rank last in net yards per passing attempt allowed this season.
