First Two Pro Bowl Players For 2023 Announced

After the fan voting portion of the 2023 Pro Bowl wrapped up, the NFL revealed that the complete rosters will be announced on Wednesday, but ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers, they officially announced the first two players selected to the NFC roster.

Those two players would be Aaron Donald (9th Pro Bowl selection) and Jaire Alexander (2nd Pro Bowl selection), and while these players are having great seasons, it's certainly underwhelming to make two players who've played on struggling teams all season long the first players announced for the revamped games.

At their positions, these two have been fantastic all season long, and while fan voting only makes up 1/3 of the decision for the Pro Bowl roster, neither man led their position in the NFC in voting, so while it's an odd decision to do it this way, the Pro Bowl rosters are out in two days anyway, so the NFL decided to make a big choice ahead of MNF, and no one can blame them.
