Indianapolis Colts Cornerback Could Miss Week 13

The Indianapolis Colts could be without their star defensive back for a while. Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II was spotted at Wednesday's practice in a cast and on a scooter following a shin injury suffered in the team's Week 12 Monday Night Football 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Moore exited after 60 snaps on Monday. He has played 99% of the Colts' defensive snaps this season while also contributing on special teams. He has notched 65 tackles and four pass breakups in his 12 appearances this year.

At 4-7-1, the Colts are likely out of the playoff hunt. If they weren't, Moore's unavailability would likely expedite their exit. The Colts face the high-powered Dallas Cowboys offense this week on Sunday Night Football and find themselves 10.5-point underdogs. The Cowboys have scored 33.8 points per game since quarterback Dak Prescott returned from a thumb injury in Week 7.

Moore initially joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He appeared in 16 games as a rookie for the team and grew into a nearly every down starter in his second year. He continued to develop and evolve his game in the coming years before eventually earning a Pro Bowl in 2021 thanks to his four interceptions and 13 passes broken up. He has totalled 14 interceptions and 49 pass breakups over 87 appearances with the Colts.
