Jets Cut Running Back

Cutting him a week after signing him.

The New York Jets have cut running back Jonathan Ward.
Ward signed on with the Jets last week after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals. There was thought that he might be able to get into a game with the Jets dealing with injuries to their running backs. However, he never did, and his release could mean that Michael Carter is close to a return.

Ward has played 32 career games, recording 33 yards on nine attempts. He's spent all three seasons of his career with the Cardinals.
