Miami Dolphins Declare Left Tackle Out for Week 13

The Miami Dolphins will be without their premier offensive lineman for their Week 13 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Left tackle Terron Armstead is officially inactive for Sunday's game due to his pectoral injury. Armstead suffered the pec injury in the Dolphins' Week 12 30-15 win over the Houston Texans. He played 37 snaps before his exit.

Armstead's absence could loom large today against a 49ers defensive line that includes superstar pass rusher Nick Bosa, who has 11.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 10 games this year. Armstead had been solid in 10 appearances for the Dolphins this season, earning a 77.0 overall grade from Pro Football Focus for his efforts.

Armstead joined the Dolphins earlier this year on a five-year, $75 million deal after nine seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He was acquired in the hopes he might stabilize an offensive line that PFF rated as the worst in the league following the 2021 season. His consistency has been a big part of the Dolphins' evolution into one of the league's better offenses; they rank third in yards gained and sixth in points scored this season.
