Seattle Seahawks Running Back Leaves Game With Ankle Injury

The Seattle Seahawks will be without one of the jewels of their stellar 2022 draft class for the remainder of their NFC West showdown with the Los Angeles Rams. Running back Kenneth Walker exited in the first half with an ankle injury and was quickly declared out for the game. Walker rushed the ball three times for 36 yards before leaving the game in the second quarter. The Seahawks held a narrow 14-13 lead at the half.

Walker has been one of the pleasant surprises of an overperforming Seahawks offense this year. The team ranks fourth in scoring through 12 weeks of the regular season, and Walker's team-leading 613 yards and nine rushing touchdowns are a huge part of the team's success. Before today's untimely injury, he was a leading candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Walker joined the Seahawks as their 41st overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. Along with sensational rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen, he headlines a potentially franchise-altering draft class that has seen five players contribute meaningful starts for the 6-5 Seahawks.
