Texans Claim Veteran Defensive Tackle On Waivers

In 2022, the waiver wire has been as active as it ever has been in NFL history, and with plenty of useful veteran pickups in recent times, the key between a first-round exit and a potential Super Bowl run could be a savvy pickup or two late in the season.

The Houston Texans won't be worrying about that in 2022, but they are looking to improve for the future, so any veteran coming into the squad could be a fantastic influence, and that's exactly what they'll be hoping Taylor Stallworth can do for them, after being claimed just a day after the Kansas City Chiefs waived him.

In five seasons at the NFL level, Stallworth has racked up 4.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and a pass deflected in 56 games, and while he's not going to become a star in Houston, he'll play a valuable role along the defensive line, and will help build this young core for future success.
