2023 NFL Franchise Tag Numbers Revealed

One of the most intriguing parts of upcoming free agency for a teams draft picks is the franchise tag, as teams have the opportunity to bring a player back for one year following their rookie deal, and with the announcement of the salary cap rise, those numbers too will be going up.

With the 16% rise in salary cap, the franchise tag numbers have done a similar thing, with a QB's franchise tag being up to $32 million for the season, meaning that if teams want to continue down that route, they've got to pay a very high number.

With plenty of players eligible for the tag this off-season, notably the likes of Lamar Jackson and Daniel Jones, it will be interesting to see how this rise in price will effect that going forward, but for now, it's clear business is booming in the NFL.
