Encouraging Injury Update On Philadelphia Eagles Talented Cornerback

Finally, some good news on the Philadelphia Eagles' talented cornerback.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Monday that he's "hopeful" that CB Avonte Maddox will return to practice on Wednesday.

Maddox has yet to practice or play since suffering a toe injury in Week 16's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Sirianni also said that the team still needs to see Maddox perform "the football movements that he has to go out there and do," before making a decision on his playing status for Sunday's Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Also, the twenty-six-year-old was seen on the sidelines without a walking boot this past weekend, which is a good sign.

In 10 games this season, Maddox had 43 total tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and three passes defended.

He is a former fourth-round pick by the Eagles in the 2018 NFL Draft.
