Green Bay Packers Sign Running Back

Bringing him back.

The Green Bay Packers have signed running back Tyler Goodson to a reserve/future contract.

Goodson joined the Packers' practice squad as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa this past offseason. He tried to secure the team's No. 3 running back role during the preseason but was eventually waived in late August before re-joining the team's practice squad.

The twenty-two-year-old was then elevated to the active roster for Week 17's game against the Minnesota Vikings. He appeared poised to make his NFL debut, however, he never got into the game.

Goodson will again battle it out with Patrick Taylor to win a spot on the active roster next season.

Over 34 games at Iowa, Goodson recorded 2,551 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns, along with 70 receptions for 565 yards and a touchdown.
