Houston Texans Head Coach Fired

Going into their Week 18 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, it was highly likely that it was going to be Lovie Smith's last game in charge of the team, and after going for the win in the final moments and costing the team the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023, they made it official.

In his one season with the team, Smith racked up a 3-13-1 record, good enough for the second overall pick in the upcoming draft, and it will be interesting to see if he can land another job going forward, as he likely won't be a top candidate for a Head Coaching vacancy.

Over the years, Smith has served as the Head Coach for the Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans, and while he's had relative success with all three, he's not yet been able to go all the way, so we will see if another team takes a chance on him going forward.
