The Chargers have signed wide receiver John Hightower to a reserve/future contract.

The Chargers originally signed Hightower to their practice squad at the end of September after failing to make the Philadelphia Eagles' initial 53-man roster, however, he failed to make any appearances during the 2022 season.

Hightower appeared in 13 games with the Eagles during his rookie season in 2020, recording 10 receptions for 167 yards on 29 targets.

Since then, the twenty-six-year-old has appeared in just one NFL game.

Hightower is a former fifth-round pick of the Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft.
