Seattle Seahawks Sign Running Back

They want another look at him.

The Seattle Seahawks have signed running back Darwin Thompson to a reserve/future contract.

Thompson earned a practice-squad contract after failing to make the Seahawks' initial 53-man roster, but he was never elevated to the active roster during the 2022 season.

Thompson was impressive during preseason action and, with his new contract, he'll have a chance to work for a larger role this offseason. It also helps that the team will likely not re-sign running back Rashaad Penny this offseason.

For his career, the twenty-five-year-old has played 26 games, all with the Kansas City Chiefs, rushing 64 times for 225 yards and two touchdowns, along with 16 receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown.
