New Orleans Saints Place A Price On Acquiring Former Head Coach

The New Orleans Saints have been a massive disappointment in 2022, failing to reach the playoffs despite a mediocre NFC South, and while many are hoping for a Sean Payton reunion, it appears unlikely to happen.

What does appear likely to happen is the return of Payton to the NFL, and with the Saints having his rights due to his contract extending beyond his retirement, any team wanting to sign him will now reportedly have to fork over at least one first-round pick to the Saints.

Any team wanting to acquire Sean Payton is expected to have to trade a first rounder to the Saints.

Teams like the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals and others are all expected to be interested in the Super Bowl winning Head Coach, but with so many options to weigh up, a hiring isn't expected to come for a few months at least.
