Pittsburgh Steelers Keep Playoff Hopes Alive With Comeback Over Baltimore Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't done yet. Despite entering the fourth quarter down 6-13, the Steelers secured a 16-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17 and kept their playoff hopes alive for the final week of the regular season. At 8-8, the Steelers will need a few things to break their way in order to secure the final Wildcard spot in the AFC. First, they'll need to beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 18. They already topped the Browns 29-17 in Week 3. The Browns didn't have quarterback Deshaun Watson at the time, but he has yet to prove a difference maker: the team has averaged a mere 16.8 points per game since his Week 13 debut compared to 23.9 in their first 11 games.

Besides taking care of business against the Browns, the Steelers will have to cross their fingers that a couple more Week 18 games break their way. They'll need the Buffalo Bills to top the New England Patriots and the New York Jets to defeat the Miami Dolphins. The Bills are currently 7.5-point favorites, but the Jets are 2.5-point underdogs.

The Steelers have struck the jackpot with longer Week 18 odds before. Just last year, the Steelers entered their season finale needing a win over the Baltimore Ravens and for the Jacksonville Jaguars to defeat the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars entered the game colossal 15.0-point underdogs but secured a dominant 26-11 win that turned the AFC upside down.
