Philadelphia Eagles Reach Incredible Pass Rushing Milestone

The Philadelphia Eagles are perhaps the most complete team in the NFL, but few would have guessed their defensive line would make history in Week 17. With his second-quarter sack against the New Orleans Saints, edge rusher Brandon Graham became the fourth Eagle this season to clear 10 sacks. No team in NFL history has ever had four 10+ sack players on the same team in the same season.

The Eagles other 10+ sack pass rushers are Haason Reddick (14.0), Javon Hargrave (12.0), and Josh Sweat (11.0). Sweat exited today's game on a stretcher due to a neck injury.

Entering today, the Eagles ranked first in the league with a colossal 61 sacks, 10 more than another team. The 1984 Chicago Bears hold the record for most sacks in a season with 74.

The Eagles' incredibly deep defensive line has been a huge part of their elite pass defense this season. They've allowed the fewest passing yards in the league and the fewest net passing yards per attempt. Given they also sport the league's best offense (first in points scored), it should come as no surprise the Eagles sport the league's best record (13-2).  It's been an unforgettable season for Philadelphia.
