Recovery Update On Two San Francisco 49ers Stars

The San Francisco 49ers are absolutely rolling over the past few months, and will enter Week 18 riding a nine-game winning streak, and with both Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell expected back soon, this team could be considered a Super Bowl favourite in the NFC.

While they haven't yet been confirmed for a return, their practice will ramp up throughout the week, and while a return in Week 18 hasn't been ruled out, it's very likely that one, if not both will be rested until the playoffs, when the 49ers are expected to be a very tough out.

#49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said RB Christian McCaffrey is day-to-day with a "mild" ankle sprain.

Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell will do some more work this week as they near a return.

If Brock Purdy can carry over the regular season momentum to the playoffs when the lights are on brightest, this is a team that can make serious noise, and if Samuel and Mitchell get healthy, there's few teams in the NFL built to stop San Francisco.
