San Francisco 49ers Edge Rusher Arrested After Domestic Incident

San Francisco 49ers' edge rusher Charles Omenihu was reportedly arrested Monday after a domestic violence incident.

Omenihu, who was booked at the Santa Clara jail and released after posting bail, was given a restraining order following the incident.

The twenty-five-year-old allegedly pushed a woman to the ground during an argument. The woman complained of pain in her arm and refused medical attention when police officers arrived at the scene.

The 49ers released a statement after the news broke:

"We are aware of the matter involving Charles Omenihu and are in the process of gathering further information."

Omenihu is a big part of the 49ers' front seven that has dominated all season long. In 17 games this season, he had 20 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defended.

More details to come as they become available.
