San Francisco 49ers Running Back Ruled Out For The NFC Title Game

The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the teams hit hardest by injury this season, and it appears that's not changing through the playoffs, as both of their running backs were under an injury cloud throughout the week leading up to their NFC Championship Game clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.

There's good news and bad news in this case, as Christian McCaffrey is officially active and ready to help this team punch their ticket to the Super Bowl, the same can't be said for Elijah Mitchell, who has been ruled out for the biggest game of the year thus far.

While McCaffrey has taken the majority of touches since being picked up by the 49ers, Mitchell still has a key role to play when healthy, but now, the team will rely on their superstar back to help them to the Super Bowl, a game in which Mitchell could likely play in if they get there.
