New York Giants Rumors: Free Agent Linebacker Becoming Target

The New York Giants are ready to build off of their strong 2022 season by being very active in free agency. It is clear that this is a team heading in the right direction, but it also would be wise for them to make upgrades to their group to help their chances even more. As a result, they are currently aiming to improve at the linebacker position, and David Long is reportedly on their radar because of it.

Long is gearing up for free agency, and he should land himself a nice contract because of his solid 2022 season with the Tennessee Titans. In 12 games, he recorded new career-highs with two interceptions and 86 combined tackles. Although he is not necessarily a star, it is apparent that he can make a notable impact while playing at his best. Thus, it makes sense that New York is considering bringing him this offseason.

The Giants seem like a strong potential landing spot for Long, but other teams like the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys could have him on their radars, too. Alas, we will need to wait and see if the Giants sign Long from here.
