NFL Rumors: Houston Texans To Add Another QB This Offseason

According to KPRC 2 Houston's Aaron Wilson, the Houston Texans new head coach DeMeco Ryan confirmed the team will be adding another quarterback.

When asked the question at his introductory press conference, Ryans said, "we understand we have one quarterback here on our roster and we have to add more to that position."

The "one quarterback" Ryans is referring to is Davis Mills.

Mills took a very disappointing step back this season in his sophomore year, completing 292-of-479 pass attempts (61%) for 3,118 yards, 17 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He rushed 32 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns over 15 games.

Mills lead the entire NFL with his 15 interceptions.

Expectations were decently high for the twenty-four-year-old entering the season after he looked impressive over the last few games of the 2021 season.

However, with the Texans now in a position to draft a new franchise quarterback, the question goes from Mills being a franchise quarterback to if he's even a worthy No. 2 option.
