NFL Rumors: Surprise Team Could Trade Up To No. 1 Overall In The 2023 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft is still over two months away, but with all but 2 teams eliminated and looking towards the off-season, the attention will shift to the draft and free agency, and with teams looking to fill out their rosters so they can take a spot in the biggest game of all in 2023/24, talks are certainly going to heat up.

With the Chicago Bears seemingly committed to Justin Fields as the future of their franchise at the QB position, the Bears are reportedly open to trading out of the No. 1 spot, and with Carolina and Houston both looking at acquiring their QB's of the future, they both make sense as trade partners.

Now, The Athletic's Colton Pouncy has remarked that after their willingness to move up in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions could potentially do the same again in 2023, if they see a prospect like Will Anderson or Jalen Carter as worthy of it, so it's certainly a scenario to keep an eye on.
