Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rumors: Cornerback Linked to Vikings

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are likely aiming to sign Jamel Dean to a new contract, but there is also a good chance that we see him test the free-agent market. If the latter does in fact occur, there are reports that the Minnesota Vikings are going to pursue him heavily via free agency.

There is no question that the Vikings need a serious boost at the cornerback position, and Dean would provide them with just that. Although Minnesota put together a strong regular season, their defense killed them during the postseason, so they need to bring in a player like Dean to try to help remedy this issue. Keep in mind, he is one of the top cornerbacks available this free agency period as well.

Dean appeared in 15 games this past season with the Buccaneers, where he had 57 combined tackles to go along with two interceptions. Overall, he is a very solid player, so look for the Vikings to go all-in to sign him this offseason.
