Washington Commanders Release Veteran Defensive Back

The Washington Commanders made waves today when they officially announced the release of veteran Quarterback Carson Wentz, but along with that, they've also freed up some more cap space by making another solid move.

They also moved away from veteran defensive back Bobby McCain, who joined the team in 2021 after spending the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, but with so much still to give, it's very likely that he ends up on another team very soon.

During his tenure in the NFL, McCain has been one of the most solid players in the NFL, and after these two moves, Washington free up almost $29M against the cap for 2023, so it's safe to say that it's a good move for both parties.
