Atlanta Falcons Sign Star Guard To Massive Contract Extension

The Atlanta Falcons showed plenty of promise throughout the 2022 season, but they were unable to take the next step in challenging for the NFC South crown, but if that's their goal in 2023, they've certainly begun free agency the right way. 

After trading for Jonnu Smith with the New England Patriots, the Falcons then confirmed that they have now re-signed star guard Chris Windstorm to a massive five-year, $105 million extension after having a fantastic 2022 campaign.

He graded out as the best guard in the NFL this past year according to PFF, and after playing with Atlanta every year of his professional career after being a first-round pick back in 2019, it makes sense for both sides to stay together.
