BREAKING: Saints Signing Coveted Free Agent Quarterback

It's finally over.

The New Orleans Saints are closing in on a deal to sign free-agent quarterback Derek Carr.

Carr met with three teams at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, but the Saints have now emerged on top and are finalizing a deal to sign him.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the deal could be finalized and officially announced as early as today.

The thirty-two-year-old will reunite with head coach Dennis Allen, who was the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders back when the team drafted Carr back in 2014.

In addition, Carr will get to play with two extremely talented offensive pieces in Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, as well as Michael Thomas, if he can stay healthy.

This past season, Carr recorded a 60.8 completion percentage, 3,522 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and 14 interceptions with the Raiders.

He's spent all nine seasons of his career with the Raiders.
