Indianapolis Colts Re-Sign Promising Wide Receiver

The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed 25-year-old wide receiver Ashton Dulin to a two-year contract worth either $7.2 million or up to $9.2 million.

Dulin had a solid start to the 2022 season, playing both in the slot and on the outside and holding a notable 31.5 percent target share in the first two games due to the team's wide receiver injuries.

However, a foot injury caused him to miss four games, and he struggled to establish himself as a significant part of the team's offense upon his return. In 12 games, he caught 15 of his 22 targets for 207 yards and one touchdown.

Despite his unremarkable statistics over his 55 games with the Colts, the team has shown their commitment to Dulin's potential by re-signing him.

With the addition of a new head coach and quarterback, Dulin's role in the 2023 season remains uncertain. If the Colts do not add much receiver help in the upcoming NFL draft, Dulin could be a player that sees an increased workload next season.

Over his four-year career, Dulin has 33 receptions for 450 yards (13.6 avg) and three touchdowns across 55 games played. Photo Credit: Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
