Jacksonville Jaguars Re-Sign Veteran Defensive Lineman

Defensive end Adam Gotsis has re-signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a two-year deal.

The seven-year veteran started 19 games over the previous three seasons and can be considered more of a role player along the defensive line at this point in his career.

While he saw a diminished role last season, he still provided value both as a rotational player and on special teams, recording 19 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and two passes defended across 15 games.

Entering his eighth NFL season, he has totaled 192 tackles, 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and 18 passes defended in 104 games, but there's a chance he could see an increased role in the upcoming season.

Gotsis is a former second-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft.
