NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Visit With Free Agent Running Back

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly scheduled to host free-agent running back Ronald Jones on Monday, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.

With Ezekiel Elliott leaving the team and Tony Pollard dealing with a fibula injury, the Cowboys need to explore their options while staying below the salary cap.

Jones spent last season in Kansas City, but saw limited playing time and only scored one touchdown.
If he does end up signing with Dallas, Jones could have an interesting role early on in the season with Pollard's start-of-season status still up in the air.

Entering his sixth NFL season, the 25-year-old has amassed 2,244 rushing yards (4.4 avg), 593 receiving yards, and 20 total touchdowns across 61 games played. Photo Credit: Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports
