Las Vegas Raiders Sign Former Rams Cornerback

The Las Vegas Raiders have signed cornerback David Long Jr. to a one-year deal, according to reports.

Long, who previously played for the Los Angeles Rams, appeared in 52 games in his first four seasons in the NFL. In 2021, he started 16 games and recorded an interception in both the regular season and the postseason as the Rams won Super Bowl LVI.

Last season, he played in 12 games and recorded 21 total tackles and one pass defended.

The addition of Long Jr. is expected to provide much-needed depth to the Raiders' secondary and could potentially put him in contention for a starting role.

With his previous experience and solid performance on the field, Long Jr. should be a solid addition to the Raiders' roster as they look to improve upon their 6-11 record from last season.

Entering his fifth NFL season, the 25-year-old has recorded 78 total tackles, one interception and seven passes defended across 52 games played. Photo Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
