Minnesota Vikings Officially Release Young Cornerback

The Minnesota Vikings were once again outstanding in the 2022 NFL regular season, but failed to make an impact in the playoffs, and this off-season, it's become obvious that they're clearing cap space to make a splash move or two to improve this team.

After moving on from wide receiver Adam Theilen earlier today, the team have now officially released young cornerback Cameron Dantzler as well, which will clear them around $2.75M against the salary cap in 2023.

The 24-year old was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and has been a solid player for Minnesota, but his inconsistencies and failure to take the next step have certainly hurt him, and while this is a cap move for Minnesota, he's likely to have a solid market this off-season.
