Minnesota Vikings Sign Former Chargers Linebacker

Free agent linebacker Troy Reeder has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, according to team officials.

The 28-year-old previously played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Reeder, an undrafted player out of the University of Delaware, first signed with the Rams in 2019 and made the 53-man roster that year.

He played for the team for three seasons, tallying 91 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions. In 2022, Reeder signed a contract with the Chargers, where he played in 17 games and recorded eight tackles, a forced fumble, and a pass defense.

Reeder's signing with the Vikings will likely provide the team with depth at the linebacker position and a key contributor on special teams.

While he had a quieter season in 2022, Reeder's previous experience with the Rams suggests he could return to his earlier production levels.
