Texans Re-Sign Veteran LS Weeks

The Houston Texans announced on Thursday that they have re-signed long snapper Jon Weeks to a one-year deal. The deal is reportedly worth $1.65 million, which includes $152,500 at signing, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC

The 37-year-old LS is the team's longest serving player arrived on the Texans in 2010 as an undrafted free agent. Weeks has never missed a snap, quite literally as he has played in 210 consecutive games (a franchise record).

Weeks, a former Pro-Bowler in 2015, made six special teams tackles last season, which tied for the third-most in his career. Before his NFL career, he attended Baylor University for four years (2004-08).
